Playground Advisory and
Audit Service

The Playground Safety Advisory Service continues the role and services formerly provided by Playsafe Advisory Association. The Kidsafe WA Playground Advisory Service is modelled on the highly regarded Kidsafe NSW Playground Advisory Unit, which was first established in 1999.

Aims

The Kidsafe WA Playground Safety Advisory Service aims to increase the number of safe, creative play environments that comply with Australian Playground Safety Standards, in order to promote participation in recreational activities.

Services

• An information and advisory service on playground safety, design and maintenance
• Education and training on playground standards, inspection and maintenance
• Assistance to community groups and local government with planning and auditing playgrounds
• Provision of 'Fact Sheets' and other publications to assist in the development of safe, creative playgrounds
• Assist groups in interpreting the playground safety standards
