About the conference...

Kidsafe WA is working to ensure this conference stimulates lively discussion and debate about the range of intersecting issues impacting on playgrounds and playspaces. We want to explore how the natural environment can support and extend children's play and learning; how the wider community benefits from playgrounds that engage and inspire and how these in turn can add strength and vibrancy to our community.

Our goals for the Conference are to:

  • Highlight the play needs of children and young people
  • Promote health promotion and injury prevention actions
  • Showcase innovative playgrounds, programs, projects
    and materials
  • Provide practical tips for successful playground development and design
  • Build capacity and collaboration between the WA playground industry and the early childhood sector

Who should attend?

  • Individuals and organisations from the child care, early childhood and education sectors
  • Playground providers, managers, designers and manufacturers
  • Policy and program developers and local government
  • Landscape architects and designers
  • Community & sporting organisations
  • Health promotion and injury prevention agencies
