Kidsafe WA operates a freecall child safety information line.

Call 1800 802 244 for any questions on child safety at home, on the road, in the car, at play or at school.

The 1800 line is manned Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and is switched to an answering machine at other times. Calls will be returned.



Safety Demonstration House

The Kidsafe WA Safety Demonstration House is located at the Kidsafe WA Centre on the corner of Roberts Rd and Thomas Street in Subiaco. The house highlights points of potential injury in the home and methods of injury prevention. This is achieved using photographic displays and physical examples of safety latches, barriers, scald prevention tap-ware and hot water systems and other household items with child safety features, on display for parents to view, touch and test.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

Cost: A gold coin donation.

The house is available to tour for individuals as well as school groups, parent groups, professionals and anyone interested in child safety. There is an Activity sheet for student groups and a self-guided tour for all other visitors.

Groups are required to make a booking.

Albany Safety Demonstration House

 

 

Kidsafe WA in partnership with the Albany Injury Prevention Association and Great Southern Population Health have recently assisted with the refurbishment and staffing of the Albany Injury Prevention Centre. The Albany Safety Demonstration House is located in Spencer Park in Albany, on Mokare Rd (next to the Child Health Centre). The house highlights points of potential injury in the home and metods of injury prevention. This is achieved using photographic displays and physical examples of safety latches, barriers, scald prevention tap-ware and hot water
systems and other household items with child safety features, on display for parents to view, touch and test.

Opening hours: Monday and Wednesday 8.30am to 3.30pm Fridays by Appointment
