Safety Demonstration House
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm
Kidsafe WA's Safety Demonstration House is located at our office at 140 Railway Parade, West Leederville. The Safety Demonstration House mirrors a typical family home demonstrating best practice safety measures to protect children. It highlights points of potential injury in the home and methods of injury prevention through the use of photographic displays and physical examples of household items with child safety features.
The Safety Demonstration House is available to tour for school groups, parent groups, professionals and any other group interested in child safety. Activity sheets are provided for student groups.
On the guided tour you will receive an introduction to Kidsafe WA and unintentional childhood injuries in Western Australia, as well as tips on child injury prevention for the most common causes of injury including drowning, transport, falls, burns and poisoning. The tour runs for approximately one hour, bookings are essential. Guided tours can be booked for a group at your choice of day and time or you can attend one of our public guided tours.
