In term 1, 2025, primary school students across Western Australia were invited to participate in the 2025 Get Creative About Safety Competition run by Kidsafe WA and ATCO. Students in years 1 to 3 who entered the colouring in competition were able to have fun being creative while also learning about important safety messages. Students in years 4 to 6 had the opportunity to design a comic strip all about safety, with examples such as how to cross the road safely, gas safety and preventing burns.
This was Kidsafe WA & ATCO’s seventh year of running the competition, and with so many outstanding entries, judging was not an easy task! We had a fantastic turnout with 135 entries from 15 schools across Western Australia. It was clear that all students had spent a lot of time on their colouring in and comic strips. After a long afternoon of careful judging, the winners of the 2025 competition were decided.
