Tickets now on sale – Kidsafe WA Child Injury Prevention Symposium 2023 – Growing Up Safely on Farms

Tickets are now available for Kidsafe WA’s 3rd Child Injury Prevention Symposium – Growing Up Safely on Farms. This symposium will be a one-day event held in the Wheatbelt town of Northam, supported by the Department of Health WA and CBH Group, on Wednesday, 9th August 2023.

Join Kidsafe WA and other community stakeholders for this event focussing on common injuries that can happen to children on farms in WA. Presentations will discuss the biggest contributors to farm-related injury for children, how to reduce the risk of these injuries and how to get children involved in farm work safely.

Hear from a range of speakers, including local agricultural professionals, safety consultants, injury prevention specialists, and WA farming families sharing their personal experiences of raising children on farms.

Tickets for this event are $30, includes morning tea and lunch for attendees, and can be purchased through our Eventbrite page: www.kidsafewa.com.au/farmsymposium

To open this event and to provide an opportunity for networking, Kidsafe WA will also be hosting a free sundowner event for all symposium attendees at the Temperance Bar in Northam (located in Farmers Home). Join us from 6pm on Tuesday 8th August, the evening before the ‘Growing Up Safely on Farms’ symposium. Enjoy some light share plates while connecting with industry peers and members of the WA farming community. Please note that tickets are limited, and registration is essential through our Eventbrite page.
